5 out of 5 stars It's Amazing!   February 17, 2008

I know what you think. You think the Buttoneer is a piece of junk. That's what I thought too until I bought one. This device really does work. It isn't made of high-quailty materials, but it does get the job done. Using the Buttoneer is so much easier than threading a needle and sewing on a new button. Thread eventually unravels, but the plastic fasteners remain secure if you attach them correctly. I doubt you will ever lose the same button again if you attach it with this device. The Buttoneer is similar to a stapler. The difference is that the Buttoneer uses plastic fasteners instead of metal staples to hold a button in place. I do recommend that you purchase this refill pack with the Buttoneer. You do get quite a few of the plastic fasteners with the Buttoneer, but it's easy to make mistakes when you are trying to attach a button. You will end up having to throw away many of the plastic fasteners.

5 out of 5 stars Even someone who cannot sew can perfectly fix things now   August 14, 2009

One day when I was at the cleaners I had a button problem on my uniform pants. The owner of the cleaners told me he had this product he would use to fix it for me. I remember seeing it on TV a long time ago.
He told me where to look for it. I called every place that he suggested and no one had it.
I went to Amazon.Com found it, bought it and bought refills and now I am as happy as can me.

5 out of 5 stars more than just buttons   July 25, 2010

I already owned the Buttoneer. I purchased the refills. They're hard to find sometimes. I was using them to fix some cushions. I also used them to attach the arm covers on my sofa and loveseat. I got them here for a good price and they came quite promptly.

My husband is a button-loser. He's rough with clothes, and loses buttons frequently, and about 50% of them don't get home to me for replacing. Plus, who has time to replace buttons -- you have to find a button that fits, thread that matches, and time to sit down and sew! The Buttoneer has worked beautifully for me, and I love the 100-count refill!

4 out of 5 stars Must learn to use!   May 14, 2007

Once I learned to use this product it is great! I keep mine in my laundry room for quick button re-attachments! Also great to travel with.
I did, however, have to learn how to use this product successfully. After several tries I finally learned the trick of how to hold it and attach buttons and have not had any problems since.
